“Making Wishes” was written, recorded and produced entirely in lockdown for our quarantine compilation which was out in the summer. As you may know, we lost my grandad in March, and it’s a cliche but he was absolutely my hero, and this track is a little bit about that. Right after, I went home for a month to be with my family, and I used to take daily walks with mum’s dog. While I was walking, the song kind of came to me day by day, and I think that the pacing of the song really feels like a walk. The song is out on Wednesday 20th January, what would have been his 82nd birthday. The artwork is me, my little sister, and our bamps.
